Rapid dry time

Drying the navel as quickly as possible is essential to prevent neonatal infections. UMBIREZ desiccates the navel in as little as 2 hours, faster than other products on the market; including 10 % iodine, alkaline electrolyzed water or chlorhexidine-based products. On several farms this has resulted in reducing the number of applications.

Easy-to-use

UMBIREZ contains a blue dye making it easy to see which animals have had their navels coated. It can be used as a dip or a spray and comes in multiple pack sizes ranging from 500ml (17 fl. oz) up to 3L (0.8 gallons). What are the ingredients?
UMBIREZ contains a high % of ethanol to cleanse the navel on contact, then a unique blend of natural polymer and metal salts that form a protective seal at the site to keep environmental pathogens out.
UMBIREZ consists of food-and-feed grade materials; a combination of a natural polymer combined with low levels of metal salts in an ethanol base. As for all navel products it’s not recommended for ingestion due to the ethanol content but there are no specific requirements to prevent contact between ewe and lamb, or cow and calf, post application. Additionally, UMBIREZ contains a bitter agent to deter licking.
Yes, UMBIREZ is safe for newborn animals when used following label instructions. In addition, those who have iodine sensitivities or allergies prefer using UMBIREZ, additionally the stain is easier to remove than iodine. UMBIREZ is a non-corrosive product. Please see packaging label for further use and storage instructions.
No. UMBIREZ comes as a ready-to-use formula in either a 500ml (17 fl. oz), 2.5L (0.66 gallon) or 3L (0.8 gallon) pack.
UMBIREZ is not recommended for use near the eyes because it can be irritant to the eyes. Take care not to get product in the eyes if applying near the face.
